First Annual "Mother's Day"
Brunch and Day of Service

Mother's Day Flyer.jpg

This year, Kiyoko's Place is hosting its first annual "Mother's Day" brunch and day of service for young mothers. The goal of this event is to provide young mothers (from teens to young adults) with valuable information, guidance, and encouragement to break generational cycles and behaviors.

We often hear stories of tragedy resulting from trauma and behaviors passed down through generations. This pattern is reflected in the classroom as well. If I had a dollar for every student who shared their very disheartening family history, experiences, or traumas, I could make a second income stream. The impact of these issues extends from the young parent to the child, making intervention crucial for positively changing lives.

We are The Village, a supportive community. During our first event, young mothers will receive support, encouragement, parenting tips, guidance, and other helpful information from mentor mothers. This will boost their confidence, promote healthy habits, provide tools for self-development, and share valuable wisdom that will benefit them.

If you are interested in sponsoring one of our youth, donating to the event, or supporting the organization for future events, please refer to the flyer or visit the Contact/Donate page to show your support.

Each One Teach One.
